Hi, stretch is a focus for all our belts. The Hardware is stiff vertically to support carrying items on the belt so the hardware is 2-way stretch where our traditional adventure belt webbing is 4-way stretch and is more likely to fold while carrying heavier objects. The Hardware is not leather it's 85% polyester and 15% rubber.
