The coating on our Guide belts is a form of lacquer. We have heard that if you are cutting the belt with a hot knife, you can put some clear nail polish on the cut knife edge to help keep it from fraying. That said, any personal modifications to the belt with void it from our warranty. Please proceed with caution!
